Basic Requirements for sub-inspectors in Delhi Police, CAPFS and assistant sub-inspector in CISF,BSF,CRPF,ITBP & SSB examination, 2016

Age Limits:- For the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police & CAPFs and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF is 20-25 years for general candidates.  Which may be relaxed up to 5 years of SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates. for further info about various relaxations please refer to the official notification of SSC.

Essential Educational Qualifications:- (as on 01.01.2016): BACHELOR’S DEGREE FROM A RECOGNISED UNIVERSITY OR EQUIVALENT.

For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police only:- Male candidates must possess and also carry a valid Driving License for LMV(Motor cycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests . Otherwise they will not be allowed to undergo Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. However the candidates who do not have a Valid Driving License for LMV (Motor Cycle and Car) can apply for all other CAPFs posts.

Physical Efficiency (Endurance) Test(PET) ( For all posts)

For male candidates only:-

(1) 100 meters race in 16 seconds

(2) 1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes

(3) Long Jump : 3.65 metres in 3 chances

(4) High Jump : 1.2 metres in 3 chances

(5) Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metres in 3 chances

For female candidates only:-

(1) 100 metres race in 18 seconds

(2) 800 metres race in 4 minutes

(3) Long Jump: 2.7 metres (9 feet) in 3 chances

(4) High Jump : 0.9 metres (3 feet) in 3 chances

Scheme of examination:-

The examination will take place in two parts on two separate dates. Candidates who successfully clear the paper 1 will be carried forward to Paper II

General Intelligence & Reasoning:-It would include questions of both verbal and non verbal type which may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, decision making, coding & decoding, arithmetic number series, venn diagrams, critical thinking,othe sub-topics if any.

General Awareness:- It will include History, Culture , Geography, Economic Scene , polity, Indian constitution, scientific research, books, economy, inventions and famous personalities. Als test will include the questions related to currents news and events.

Quantitative Aptitude:- This is to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number series sense of candidate. The scope of test will be computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions, proportion, square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit & loss, Discount, partnership Business, mixture and allegation, time and distance. Bar diagram & pie chart.

English Comprehension:- Candidates Ability to understand Correct English, his basic compression and basic writing and comprehension ability, etc would be tested.

Paper 2

English language & comprehension:- Fill in the blanks using verbs, preposition, articles etc), Vocabulary, spellings, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms antonyms, sentence completion, phrases and idiomatic use of words, comprehension etc.
